It’s the Hollyday Fair, an invitation only celebration of the season, offering one-of-a-kind gifts and handmade articles from area artists. I think this may be my fifth year participating and I do it with pleasure. I rarely do fairs any more because I can’t haul stuff myself, but the folks at the Anderson Center are always right there helping me unload, set up and reload. It’s small, contained in two carpetted rooms, and offering a lovely luncheon in a third: the perfect venue for a day on the (edge of) town.
I had found a great sale on polymer clay about six months ago, bought a lot of colors and then forgot about them until I thought I might make Christmas tree ornaments for the holiday season. But I didn’t really like what I came up with and began making beads just for fun.
