It’s the Hollyday Fair, an invitation only celebration of the season, offering one-of-a-kind gifts and handmade articles from area artists. I think this may be my fifth year participating and I do it with pleasure. I rarely do fairs any more because I can’t haul stuff myself, but the folks at the Anderson Center are always right there helping me unload, set up and reload. It’s small, contained in two carpetted rooms, and offering a lovely luncheon in a third: the perfect venue for a day on the (edge of) town.
Every year I’ve brought my books, posters and cards, and my beaded-strap purses usually sell out. This year I’m replacing the purses with handmade, one-of-a-kind necklaces featuring beads I’ve made myself, and small original art posted on notecards. I might even set up my brilliant white Christmas tree and hang earrings on it!
Here are some of the new necklaces (see previous entry for four more). Click on an image to enlarge it.
